I just stumbled across this: "I can't work without a model. I won't say I turn my back on nature ruthlessly in order to turn a study into a picture, arranging the colors, enlarging and simplifying; but in the matter of form I am too afraid of departing from the possible and the true." van Gogh
..I did this sketch yesterday (or actually this morning) at dawn. I couldn't sleep so I put out the DS and doodled my clothing hanging over the chair. Maybe I should do some more, maybe tonight..and u my readers will get it by tomorrow :)
Ok, for this post I post all the sketches I've done over the month working in my studio in Hammerbrook/Hamburg (If anyone interested HEHE!) Mainly I did them to have a color reference for the "realy" or lets say bigger/proper paintings. For years I haven't done any color reference paintings at all and neither misst them but nowadays I just started to make them. But, as u may guess, once I've done some, I leave out the propper paintings :)..so whats wrong with me and my painting habit?
Anyhow, this pices are the left over of some musing for the past half a year..
I need to get away..I need holidays..fly away far away...:)
Today I finally got my R4 Revolution cartrige for the Slot-1 of the Nintendo DS/lite. And instantly installed this nifty application called: Colors. I had to read quite a bit of articles and forums in the internet how to get everything together and working.
So here I give a shopping-list what to do step by step:
1) get a Nintendo DS 2) buy the R4 Revolution Slot-1 3) buy a MircoDS memory (ONLY 2 Gig working with Colors!...I read there are some issues with bigger sized memory cards??!!!!) 4) put the Sortware of the R4 Revolution to your mircoSD card either by using the USB-Stick or the ScanDisk-Adapter! 5) install Colors in the root directory of the microSD card.
Where to get colors? -> Google it :)
Some of my stuff can be seen here: MY SKETCHES This link can now also be found to the right under "My portable SKETCHES"
Some talking correction: ..I meant barely..not rarely -excuse me :)
This is just a pencil sketch of a girl from a photo from the internet. There is nothing special about it but I thought I post it here because somehow I like this little sketch because the drawing, the photo from which I drew it and the person itself dont seem to convey any exitement at all but the drawing somehow looks nice and gentle.
I kept on working on my "sad lady" from my earlier post..so this is a rework or may go as substitution -do I know??. Nevertheless it evoloves to look quite funny but she still keeps this kind of sad look which I couldnt get rid of? Something between glee and sorrow.
